CHEP Aerospace Solutions celebrates 5 years of growth and strengthens its management team

In August 2010, Brambles Limited, the Australian listed supply chain logistics company, acquired Unitpool AG, a leader in aviation container and pallet pooling services, as part of its long term plan to bring its proven asset management and pooling expertise to the airline sector, launching CHEP Aerospace Solutions.

The further acquisitions of JMI Aerospace, Driessen Services and Airworld, three of the leading ULD and galley cart repair providers, created the only global MRO service centre network in addition to CHEP’s ULD pooling and management solutions.

Over the past five years, CHEP Aerospace Solutions has worked closely with its customers to develop a portfolio of smarter solutions including full ULD pooling and management, asset tracking - including the award-winning CanTrackTM system, 3rd party MRO operations for galley carts and ULDs, all of  which are available to both major passenger and all-cargo carriers, alongside smaller regional and leisure airlines.

Today, CHEP Aerospace Solutions is the proud partner to over 80 airlines including Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Cargolux, Cathay Pacific, Hawaiian Airlines, KLM, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines.

To ensure that CHEP Aerospace Solutions continues to create customer-focused solutions, we are pleased to announce the following changes for the executive leadership team.

Mr. Don Jacobs will join CHEP Aerospace Solutions as Director, Sales, Marketing and Key Account Management, as of 1st October 2015. Mr. Jacobs brings over 25 years of international experience from his senior management positions in logistics, supply chain management as well as general aviation, air cargo and ULD management at Deutsche Post, DHL Express, DHL Global Mail, Aberdeen Airport, and most recently, Jettainer.

Mr. David Harman, presently Director, Sales, Marketing and Key Account Management, after a thorough handover period, will move into a new role focused on customer on-boarding and leading the development of new solutions, such as catering galley cart asset management.
