The ELSC Conclave is a premium annual event attended by the full range of the Indian supply chain industry and this year’s event was attended by more than 450 supply chain professionals. This award is a powerful industry endorsement of the role that CHEP is playing in modernising the Indian supply chain.

Also during the Conclave, CHEP India President, Devdip Purkayastha, chaired a CEO’s panel on New Fundamentals for Growth, Agility and Competitive Advantage where he touched upon the roles of consumers, technology, infrastructure and people in creating greater value through supply chain management. Devdip drove home the idea of ‘collaboration’ between different players to build a seamless supply chain eco-system, through standardisation of truck bodies, warehousing, racking, and equipment.

In closing, he asserted “We in India may have a challenging supply chain environment, but we also have the world’s best supply chain professionals who still manage to deliver value, everyday!”, a sentiment that was strongly supported by the audience.
