CHEP expands further into Central and Eastern Europe

November 27, 2012

CHEP, the world’s leading provider of pooling solutions, has announced the expansion of its logistics network into an additional seven countries within Central and Eastern Europe.

CEEOperations will extend into Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia in the Balkans; and the three Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, taking the total number of countries served within CEE to twenty nine.

CHEP has been operating within the Central and Eastern European region since 1998 starting in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece and Turkey. The expansion will support strong growth within the region and ensure customers receive enhanced pallet coverage and services, improved operational efficiencies, reduced supply-chain costs and superior environmental benefits.

Over the past decade, CHEP has developed partnerships with many local and international LSPS and 3rd party logistics suppliers (3PL) across Europe and also recently extended its relationship with P&G, a leading consumer packaged goods company further consolidating the distribution network in Central and Eastern Europe.

This expansion of the CHEP supply network will ensure customers and suppliers continue to see better services across the region to support the needs and growth plans of both local producers and multi-national companies.
